PROPOSED INDOOR RECREATION FACILITY

RA AND RCC REPORTS - NEW! Frequently Asked Questions
COMMENTS AND CONTACTS

The RA and RCC Boards, through a Joint Task Force,  have been working together since early last fall on exploring the potential for a joint indoor recreation facility that would include indoor aquatics, tennis, gymnasia, program and community space and the required parking.  Both organizations have identified needs for additional indoor recreation space, as well as community use space. We are early in the process.  The firm Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D) was hired to conduct a market and feasibility study to determine the community needs, and to gauge whether Reston could support additional indoor recreation space. B&D Feasibility and Market Analysis is posted below.

Please see the calendar below for important dates, and a proposed timeline.

No decisions have been made by either Board.  Gathering community input is critical to the process, and this summer will focus on this effort.  We look forward to hearing from as many members of both Reston Association and constituents of Reston Community Center (small district 5) as possible as we consider and evaluate the project.
