In Europe he is called, “one of America’s best”; in the United States he continues to be a critical and crowd favorite at legendary performing halls and with the best orchestras; in Reston, Leon Bates is an old friend. We are thrilled to have this amazing pianist back in the CenterStage for an intimate afternoon piano recital. Leon will perform pieces by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Maurice Ravel and Sergei Prokofiev.
Damian’s note: It’s a joy to have Leon back for another recital. This year he will also be sharing another one of his talents with our athletes and music students at South Lakes High School. An avid body builder, Leon will share with both groups the connections between music and sports in a workshop the day before his performance. Leon continues to give back to a community that has been so supportive of his work.
