Combining the artistry of dance with the drama of aerial acrobatics, Arachne Aerial Arts
specializes in high impact performance. Andrea and Sharon began “flying” together in 2000
and have appeared in some of the great venues and festivals around Washington DC. They
have received praise from critics and audiences alike. “Arachne Aerial Arts takes Cirque du
Soleil's astonishing acrobatics and makes them relevant.” – The Washington City Paper. They will perform on CenterStage with live accompaniment from the Kenyon Piano Quartet.
This quartet is based in Washington, DC, and is a dynamic emerging chamber ensemble.
Damian’s note: Arachne is one of my favorite companies of all time. It is a thrill to watch them perform elevated
above the stage. They make my heart skip a beat every time because their tricks are so breathtaking and their
performances so beautiful.
