Trout Fishing in America is the long-standing musical partnership of
Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet. Four-time Grammy nominees, TFIA is
one of America’s most successful children’s musical groups. They
describe their work as music for people who take their fun seriously. The San Jose Mercury News describes their music as “folky and
intelligent, part country, part roots, a mix of cheeky lyrics and soulful
harmonies.” Their performances have been a mainstay in Reston for
years because their work is always entertaining.
Damian’s note: This year, Trout Fishing will also be doing a songwriting workshop in the local elementary schools.
Their program is designed to introduce students to the creative process of songwriting. It’s exciting, that after years
of having Keith and Ezra come to Reston, we are able to extend their relationship with the community into our
classrooms.
