Come take your place in Reston's Future!

Adults ages 18 to 40 are welcome to share in an active dialogue session on community involvement and leadership in Reston. Those wishing to continue Reston’s values by getting involved in the work of civic and community organizations are urged to attend. The session, led by Karen Cleveland, President of the Cleveland Coaching and Consulting Group, will give participants valuable insights to the skills needed to be a leader and how they transfer between careers and causes. The Cleveland Group, a Reston company, specializes in helping individuals, teams, and companies identify and develop their leadership potential. The Group utilizes a holistic approach that includes individual and/or team coaching along with effective industry tools and methodology. Karen brings over twenty years of executive leadership experience to her role. Prior to founding the Cleveland Group in 2010, Karen served as the President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Northern VA. Karen also served as the first CEO of the Reston Chamber of Commerce and held executive positions within the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Sales & Marketing Companies, a division of the Grocery Manufacturers of America. She received her coaching certificate from Georgetown University and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

Hospitality will be provided; attendees should plan to enjoy the Lake Anne Jazz & Blues Festival following the Generation Next program.
