Three art teachers and friends join together artistically in this month-long exhibition held at Reston Community Center Lake Anne’s Jo Ann Rose Gallery, July 28 – August 24.

Each artist is exploring the organic connections and patterns between the human and the natural world. Ms. Fitzpatrick uses a combination of acrylic paints, maps, and embroidery thread to recreate a sense of place and movement often found in bodies of water. Ms. Norwood creates images of stones, trees, human cells and nerve endings, pushing the point that we are irrevocably connected to the world around us. Ms. Walchak uses a variety of artistic media in her work to show the interplay of pattern and value in her searches of overlooked natural and manmade objects.  Join them on Sunday, August 3, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., for their opening reception, including musical performances by Bobby Lee Birdsong and Tom Davey.
