Upcoming Trips for All Ages Washington Monuments $15 Reston/$30 Non-Reston
Washington, D.C. is the nation's most beautiful city and is at its most stunning by moonlight. Celebrate Black History Month by joining family, friends and neighbors of all ages on this behind the scenes guided tour of the city. A guide will step on the bus and explain the inside secrets of our nation's capital, allowing time to get off the bus and visit famous monuments and memorials. Dinner will not be provided, but bring a small cooler or bagged dinner to enjoy on the bus or at one of the site stops. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian 18 years or older. All participants must register. Trip fee includes transportation and tour guide.
Upcoming Trips for Ages 55+ The Ben Franklin Institute $48 Reston/$96 Non-Reston
Join us as we visit the Franklin Institute, Pennsylvania's most-visited museum. An innovator in designing hands-on exhibits before "interactive" became a common household term, the Franklin Institute has touchable attractions ranging from sports to space. Highlights include the Sports Challenge (which uses virtual-reality technology to illustrate the physics of sports), The Train Factory's climb aboard steam engine, Space Command's simulated earth-orbit research station, a fully equipped weather station and more. Currently featured is Titanic the Artifact Exhibition, showcasing the Titanic and more than 300 legendary artifacts conserved from the ship's debris field. You will be taken through a chronological journey of the Titanic's story, enriched with compelling human accounts and extensive room re-creations. Trip fee includes transportation, admission to Titanic Exhibit, IMAX film and lunch. Please note there will only be a Hunters Woods pick-up and drop-off.
Fort McHenry $42 Reston/$84 Non-Reston
Step aboard a Watermark vessel to be transported to a time when Baltimore residents defended their homes, businesses and land from the British. Cruise by the spot where Francis Scott Key watched the "bombs bursting in air" and wrote The Star Spangled Banner while being held prisoner on a British ship. After the one-hour cruise, participants will tour Fort McHenry National Monument, known for the dramatic battle for which Francis Scott Key wrote the National Anthem.
